Villa Aurora is oriented by the horizon. Every decision — the placement of the pool, the angle of the louvres, the height of the terrace wall — exists in relation to the sea that lies beyond it. The stone is local, rough-cut coral that catches morning light and holds it long into the afternoon.

The layout unfolds in levels, each one claiming a different view. At the top, an open living terrace where a fireplace faces the water and the kitchen spills into the outside without apology. Below, the bedrooms pull back behind wooden screens — shaded, private, but always within sound of the ocean.

Designed in Las Terrenas, Villa Aurora is a house that wakes early — named for what you see from it at first light, when the Caribbean turns the color of everything you came here to find.
